With less than 72 hours left on the Kickstarter Campaign for the Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, But You Could've Done Better Storytelling Book Tour I've decided to release my second short documentary Small Talk to the public.
I can't believe it's been a year since I began production on this film. I set out to document the neighborhood I love so dearly, having no idea how important it would be become to me and my neighbors. After the world premiere at the Slamdance Digital Bolex Fearless Filmmaking showcase, where we were awarded the grand prize, my family, neighbors and friends suddenly lost one of the greatest men we had ever known. I am so honored and grateful that I was able to capture Bob Records spirit, personality, and amazing sense of humor on camera. He will live on forever in film and in our hearts.
After playing around the country for the past year, Small Talk had it's last festival showing this past weekend at the Cucalores Film Festival in North Carolina. With such a great response from the audience, Small Talk was given a second screening on the closing night of the festival.
I hope you enjoy the film and can continue to enjoy it. It will remain available to you and all the humans of the internet, for whenever you need a laugh or a reminder that good people exist.
